Metamorphosis

Fifth in the growing pile. I skipped a theme to get to this one; don't worry, Robin, I haven't forgotten it. I'll still do it today if I can. This one just called out to me. Rowan's theme, "Murder".

A little bit of an adaptation of an idea; my own interpretation as I integrated it into the Aberrant mythos. I think it worked well.

This one ran away with me, though. It grew a life of its own, and refused to let me shorten it. Nearly two full pages in Word, then.

Third in a series of however many I decide to do. Based on the random "emotion" provided by Deep Vermillion, "Tentative happiness marred by the sneaking suspicion that you might be attacked by a revenge-seeking Buddhist Shaolin monk you've somehow wronged".

Yeah. XD

The characters didn't want me to keep it short, however long I tried. Reilly in particular was being such a bitch. So this is twice as long as I meant to write, but I'm pretty happy with it.

To break myself out of my writer's block, I've decided to do a series of Aberrant-verse character pieces. They will be short ficlets; I cannot call them drabbles, or double-drabbles, since they do not adhere to the strict 100 and 200 word count.

Perhaps later I'll challenge myself, and work on a drabble. I don't know.

Anyway, I'll start posting them here. Once I've got enough of a set, I might decide to transfer them to the Church guild.
