Naruto Chapter 562 - Reactions

I was expecting it to be later in the week for some reason, but hey! New chapter.

Hiraishin no jutsu. The Flying Thunder God gets mentioned again, and it's not just Minato that can do it. Although apparently it's just Minato that can do it on his own, as we need a tag-team of Raidou, Genma, and someone else (maybe Aoba?) to perform it.

Side-note: Raidou! I was actually just lamenting how I haven't seen him lately. I'm glad he isn't getting glossed over, he's one of the more interesting background characters that we don't actually get any details of, and I'm always glad when he gets his burnscarred facetime.

Interesting that we get Oonoki's flashback to when Madara was alive. On first read, it looks like maybe Madara is responsible for enmities between Konoha and Iwa, possibly laying in the seeds of the war in the Yondaime's time? (Also, Oonoki is oooooold.)

It's also interesting to note that Dead!Madara is fully aware of Tobi!Madara's moon plan. Probably dashing my speculation that Tobi is not actually Madara, but hey, it was fun while it lasted.

I cringed a little bit at Tsunade's decision to blow her regeneration before she even entered the battle. It's only been, what, a few weeks since she recovered from the last time she used it? She's going to be on a time limit in this Five Kage fight.

Oonoki is very, very old.

The Infinite Tsukuyomi may be Madara's plan, but is it really Tobi!Madara's too? Or does have another seeeeecret agenda?

Tobi!Madara needs a new name. Tobidara? Tobara? Spiralface Threeholemask Guy?

Hmm. Remember how the Kyuubi's spirit was split when it was sealed? The Yang with Naruto and the Yin with Minato? I wonder if that could be used on a person, too. Split chakra -> two guys.

I want to say Tobi told Naruto that was his plan when he came to see him at/near the Kage Summit, but I'd have to go back and look.

Not only is Tsunade on a time limit, but this is the third time we've seen her use this, and it shortens her lifespan every time she does it, and she's the last of the Sannin left alive. I'm actually starting to get worried about her being in direct combat. I don't really think she has that much time left, based on how quickly Kishimoto's been killing people off, and Naruto's going to need to be the Rokudaime Hokage at some point.

Tobi did tell Naruto, with Kakashi and Yamato present. It was offscreen, I think, but the implication was that it was the same thing he told the Kages.

Will Naruto actually become Hokage? With what he told Sasuke under the bridge, I'm beginning to worry that if he does get the promotion, it'll be posthumous.

I'm really skeptical of that scenario playing out like Naruto claims. Frankly, while we're going to have the big showdown that he's leading up to, he's been leading far more up to following in Minato's footsteps. Either Naruto's going to find a way to save Sasuke, or Sasuke's going to die, but I don't think it'll be through a double suicide.
