Dayna's been here for a couple days now; Friday night I picked her up after watching Dollhouse. It's been fun; I haven't spent time with her since...February or March; depending on whether the last time I saw her was in New Orleans or when she was visiting Eric earlier this year.

It's been a relatively relaxing weekend; my first Hanukkah away from home - although to be fair, I've been hopping over to my parents' every night anyway. Family is family.

My own menorah; I had gotten this last year as the big gift, since I knew that I'd be living on my own by this Hanukkah. (Roommate and Dayna have been enjoying the Time-Honored Jewish Tradition of chocolate and cookies.)

@alliancesjr: http://twitpic.com/t9xbw - Hannukah at my parents'.
@alliancesjr: Mom's menorah is from Israel. It was her parents'.

It's been strange, this being my first holiday season living away from home. Obviously, I'm not terribly far away; just twenty minutes down the street. But even so, it's the fact that I show up, light the candles and leave that's making me feel strange about it. Christmas is going to be even stranger; I'll be heading there early in the morning for my immediate family's Christmas, and then I'll be ready and sitting around while everyone takes their time getting dressed and eating breakfast, since we don't usually leave for my grandfather's house for the Big Christmas until after 10:30. I'll be the only one showing up early morning from somewhere else; Physics Sister will be in town from Delaware but she's staying in the house while I live twenty minutes down the street. (She may be staying in Cheer Sister's room, but there's a new guest room in the basement - that used to be my room - where she may end up sleeping.)

(Yes, there's Cheer Sister and Physics Sister. Although Cheer Sister isn't a Cheer sister anymore. I might want to give her a new nickname but I'm too lazy.)

Not only did I pick up Dayna on Friday, but there was also a box waiting for me when we got home.

Earlier, I had seen someone else get a package of awesome custom-brand tea - quiXotic Brand!

Little did Roommate and I know that we were next on the list.

Cosette's Presence of Mind

Roommate's tea was first out of the box. Her first Horde-side 70 (and then first Horde-side 80 when it counted) was her Arcane Mage. For those of you unaware of Warcrafting, Presence of Mind is a signature Arcane-spec Mage spell which just so happens to also sound like a specialty tea blend. (See above for Brasson's Starfall Savor.

Gendou: DO you guys like the flavors?
Kevin: They smell great. We haven't tried them yet.
Gendou: Tessa's is caramel, almond, cinnamon.
Kevin: I love how they actually look like real brand names.
Gendou: Yours is chocolate, hazelnut, cream
Kevin: Oooooh.

MacRae's Divine Favor

The labels are seriously amazing. Rene made them, and they pretty much rock. They seriously look like professional teas; Divine Favor is one of my favorite utility spells on my Holy Paladin, who is an awesome healer if I do say so myself. (She had better be; I've gone through a total of 150 levels of Holy Paladin, so I'd better know how the class works.)

Gendou and Rene are awesome people.

Made of Fail has been consistently between 200-230 listeners ever since the last episode two weeks ago, and Dayna and I are going to go out and celebrate today. Perhaps. In theory, at least; as long as she's not too busy dying from internal organ failure.

I took it out and showed you when you came up in August. I didn't open up the candles then, though.
