This morning, it was like Silent Hill outside. Light snowfall overnight meant the world was whited out, and fog so thick that you could not (this is no exaggeration) see more than ten feet in front of you. I drove to work and cars would just materialize in the oncoming lane, right on top of me.

This is one of the reasons I love Chicago.

If you thought that was Silent Hill, last Sunday was more Silent Hill than Silent Hill. :P

If it's like spring/summer here, there must be a low rolling fog over the cemetary when you were on the bus to high school, so that you saw the tops of gravestones poking out the top.

Man, that must have been cool.

The fog here is only in the early morning, and it's broken up into drifting clouds along the water and the woods, not a thick solid wall of malice like your fog. I haven't seen fog like yours for YEARS.

Coincidentally, this is also the same reason Karl and I hate Chicago.

Heh. I've gotten the same thing recently. Except in Michigan, there are hills, so every few miles you'd come out on top of a hill, and you could see for miles.....but all it was was fog, and the tops of trees. Rather neat, but still kinda spooky.

...fun stuff, eh?
