Damage report

Too many books to count. Most of them were Star Wars books that had been hidden under my bed - including every single one of the X-wing books.

I was devastated. Some of those books were like old friends; I'd had them for nearly ten years.

My clothes are all washed and dried, as is my floor - mostly; I still have the fan going for a couple of the corners that are still damp - and my important things were salvaged.

Next up on my to-do list: Find someone that does covers for non-standard-sized window wells, because my parents have been dragging their heels on this. Had we found one, this would never have happened.

Which is exactly why I won't be doing such a thing. I'll replace them on my own when I can, and I really do appreciate the sentiment - from all of you - but I'd feel really bad if you guys did that. I don't want to take advantage of a friendship like that.
