An explanation.

So there was a huge storm last night. A tornado-based thunderstorm, much like the one back in September.
And, much like the one back in September, it wasn't content to stay out of my bedroom.
I'm going to be busy this weekend getting the carpet cleaned and throwing out all the stuff of mine that got ruined, because the storm hit when I was at work. And, since it came out of nowhere, I had no time to get various books, papers, and clothes off the floor before it flooded.
Second time in less than a year. I need to get out of this place.

Date: 2007-08-24 10:41 pm (UTC)'Twas a constant hassle when I lived in Missouri, that sudden storms would cause untold damage, and then be gone before I could close the bleeding window.
All I can suggest is water proofed basements with no windows.
