I got a box from Amazon today. Two books were inside, which I am calling My Big Book of Dragons and My Big Book of Spells.
Draconomicon is everything I expected it to be. I'm going to spend a lot of time devouring the pages. Watch out, Scooby Gang, you've got your work cut out for you now.
Spell Compendium is just absolutely glorious; it collects all the spells that are listed everywhere but the Player's Handbook, pulling from sources such as the many many sourcebooks, Dragon magazine, and web-exclusive articles on Wizards.com.
That brings me to my main question, Will - Can I use the spells from this book as well to add to my spellbook? The cantrips are few - 9, total - and everything else is higher level. If I want to use a spell in Spell Compendium, I will first make sure I've copied it word-for-word to either my LJ or the Wiki.
