What sound do sixty bells make?
Last night, in the Eastern Plaguelands, I cleared that section off of my questbook, and I was about seven bubbles away from levelling, so I decided to grind the rest of it.
The results?
After just over six months, and with nearly 16 days /played, Krajin has achieved level 60.
Backscrolling, because I forgot to get the obligatory DING screencap.
I, like many others, have a great deal of characters on a few different servers, as I've tested out every race and every class at least once. But the first character I made on my own was Krajin, a Troll Hunter, and I've been drawn to that class more than any other.
What does this mean to me? People might say that it's not as great an accomplishment since the expansion is about three weeks away, but I disagree. Getting to 60 is not the end-all, be-all of the game, nor is it a race. I had fun getting there. I saw the most beautiful landscapes, and the most depressing ruins of wars past, both distant and not-so. I've seen wonders, and have participated in a few. I explored territory both hostile and friendly, and survived to tell the tale.
There's still a great many places for me to explore, even before the expansion comes, and a great deal of things to do. But I am quite happy with this one milestone, and I will cherish it forever as my first and my greatest.
