Items in World of Warcraft are given different ranks based on statistics and effects, and those ranks affect the color of their names.
items are the highest regularly-achieved level, hence the purple. There are only a few Legendary weapons - Thunderfury, a sword, and Atiesh, a staff - in the game so far and they're incredibly hard to get (orange), and there's a higher rank called Artifact which is in red.
One of the biggest things that hackers do is get into someone's account, disenchant their epic gear for Nexus Shards (used in high-level enchants, also sell for about 50 gold each), strip them and their banks and send their stuff and gold to someone else's account. This recently happened to one of the higher-ups in the guild I'm in, who also happened to be the top PvP ranked individual on the entire server. Gromit had the whole Warlord armor set and the High Warlord weapon.
They were able to restore his account, but this is still one of the biggest hacking issues in the game.
The reference goes even further than that. This particular quote comes from a blue post paraphrasing "Im in ur base killin ur manz" (or the rough equivalent), meaning "I have taken roost in your home, and am systematically eliminating your teammates."
A blue post is an entry into the World of Warcraft forums that has a distinctive blue text, and is created by a Blizzard moderator.
This image cracked me up SO HARD that I couldn't type all of this out for some minutes. I keep scrolling back up and bursting out in tears. Tears of joy.
