An inch? That's not snow, that's a light dusting. Real snow is the kind that's a foot deep after a single night that you have to shovel at like five in the morning so you can get your car out. While it's still snowing.
Sadly, we haven't had more than three of those last year. Here's hoping that this year is more normal.
...By big freaking ice storms, I mean several inches of ice. Everywhere. For an area that practically has palm trees and is stinking hot normally, that's a WHOLE lot of ice.
For Chigago, it's nothing, but for here, that is a TON. You people are more prepared for it, we have no defences. :)
All we expect is crushing humidity - that doesn't teach us how to drive on ice.
