Sep. 15th, 2007 05:48 pmI've been having a lot of dreams lately; dreams that turn into full-scale ponderings during the day. Usually, when my hands are occupied but my mind is not, I start thinking, creating.
There's a book series I want to write. Not the space story Jillian and I thought of while discussing an Outlaw Star episode, or the Great Rift War period of my D&D campaign, but an original story.
It would start with the first book in the series, which is about a police detective/officer/ex-SWAT, what have you, waking up after a short coma to find that his city is full of superheroes. And he comes to realize that any time there is a superhero, be it in a comic or a movie or a cartoon, the local police tend to degenerate to comic relief or cannon fodder (lol canon fodder).
What if that's the idea?
Dayna, you're incredibly versed in current-DC canon. Has this been explored at all?
