Commercial recap:
Feb. 5th, 2007 08:52 amBecause I'm too apathetic right now to talk about the actual game. (Though I will say this: Morning radio was very entertaining today. Chicago is pissed.)
Aside from the very first commercials (Bud Light - "I threw paper." "I threw a rock."; Doritos - "Live the Flavor"), everything was pretty lackluster. Not up-to-Superbowl-Standard. KFC did a whole "This is a break between the zany, over-the-top commercials you've been seeing" but it ended up being pretty blah. Things didn't pick up until after Prince's AMAZING halftime show, where the greatest thing was the Robert Goulet commercial. I don't even remember what that was for, but it was awesome.
Coke had some standard "Hey, we're Coke, and these are cool new commercials that will stick in your mind but won't overwhelm you" ads, which would have worked well to be breaks between the overwhelming ones, except there weren't many of those.
