First week of my new classes1 is about half over, and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. At first I was worried; what if I wasn't able to keep up? What if I never got around to keeping up2? I'd have wasted seventeen hundred dollars if that was the case.
Fortunately, I discovered that my fears were unfounded. The classes, for the most part, are consisted of posting in forums. Why does that sound familiar? Oh, wait, I do that all day anyway!
The classes are designed to be taken together, in pairs. This first session is nine weeks, and the classes switch off on assignments. For example, I have discussion days this week in the Persuasive Writing course, while I have actual assignments in my Information Technology class. Next week, there will be assignments in Persuasive Writing and discussion in IT.
But man, posting in forums. It's absolutely glorious. Sure, my posts have to be "substansive"5 and frequent, but if there's anything I'm good at, it's wanton verbosity6.
After these nine weeks are over, I get a week break (which I can extend for up to a month if I so desire) before my next pair of classes begin.
This is exciting. I'm loving every second of it. I can barely contain myself to write a coherent post about it7, let alone one with footnotes.
The greatest thing about all this, which I think I've mentioned already? The fact that my company pays for all of it. Or, rather, pays me back for it. I have to stay with the company for at least a year after I'm done8, but it's worth it.

- "This boy's too young to be singing the blues.", Sept. 18th, 2006.
- A valid concern; while I may have been deemed a genius3 years ago, the apathy rose until I barely graduated4 high school.
- In first grade, I was taking science with the sixth graders.
- By this, of course, I mean if I had failed exactly one more class (due to never turning in any homework), I would have had to repeat senior year. I found out the bare minimum I was required to do to graduate.
- Meaning no one-liners, witty or otherwise.
- But at least I'm not ostentatious about it.
- Trust me, you'd rather be reading this instead of the "ZOMG CLASS WHEE YAY BACHELOR'S DEGREE COLLEGE SQUEE BLARGH FROINLAVEN KLAATU BARAADA NIKTO MARZIPAN" that I am sorely tempted to write in its place.
- Pushing the opening of whatever kind of store I plan on opening to at least four years from now, of course, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Nor should it be.
