I think we share the same strengths and weaknesses. I can write a character like woah and make it believable and I'm great w/ dialogue because I write how people would actually talk. I didn't realize writers had difficulty w/ that until I took writing classes. I have zero motivation, too. I haven't written in months and I feel shitty about it. I call myself a writer but I don't write? There used to be a time that you would never see me w/out a pen in my hand. I wrote through class, I wrote instead of sleeping, etc. Now I have tons of ideas swimming through my head, but no motivation to write them all down.
Also, someone mentioned that if you have to write a part that seems uninteresting to you, you tend to rush through it to get it out of the way. I'm notorious for that. And it's bad because it really thwarts the development of the story and just looks like two people were taking turns writing it, haha.
I may copy this format and post the same on my LJ. Of course, the other writers on my page don't seem to read my LJ anymore. :(
