I love how I can make even an obscure Stephen King reference and everyone will get it.

The statement is a lie.

You referenced something from one of my favorite novels of all time, love. From the moment Campion took out the pumps to the finale, it was one of the tightest books King has put out. As for the mini-series... well, casting someone that looked like a demonic Michael Landon was a stroke of pure brilliance. :p

Too bad they edited it when they brought it out to DVD. I noticed they had it on one of the On Demand channels I get. I may have to flip it on while doing housework tomorrow.

MY LIFE FOR YOU!!!!

I saw the first two parts while I was house-sitting, and it seemed to be intact. Randall Flagg, the walkin' dude.

I still want to know where they found the demonic Landon at, though. He was quite the cutie... but given the 'cold' complaints after, it's probably not a ride I'd enjoy. :p

Obscure? That was the most popular book the Stephen King ever wrote. I re-read that book an average of once a year.

I thought you said you didn't read much Stephen King?

Most popular, yes, but the disease was only mentioned as Captain Tripps...what, all of once or twice total?

IT is and will always be my favorite book ever. I only recently had been working through his other books, though - like the last few years.

Didn't I send you a couple of them a year or two ago? And you sent me Good Omens (which was awesome).

IT is a pretty awesome book. I do read it again every once in a while, but not as often as The Stand.

Hooray for being remembered with fondness!

I feel like I want to send you more now. Hrm. Have you read Lisey's Story yet? It's a more recent Stephen King that I'm a bit stuck on right now. Dunno if it's in paperback or not yet.

It's in paperback, and no I have not read it. I've been meaning to pick it up.
