Made of COMPLETE FAILURE
Sep. 20th, 2008 06:21 pmSo we recorded episode 7 today. Had some neat things to talk about, even had a special guest on with us, and it went long. Nearly two hours of recorded conversation (which had a lot of dead air, admittedly, that will be edited out), and the moment we finished and I hit the stop button...
AUDACITY CRASHES. I lose EVERYTHING.
Well, that's not exactly true. Audacity can only record one channel at a time, so I have it recording my voice and the windows default recording program taking care of the computer sound (which includes Skype, where the other voices come from), so I only lost my side.
And even then, it wasn't so bad, because (with the help of special guest of awesomeness) I was able to recover my audio, albeit in ten second chunks. And then I ran another program to slap them all back together. So I was able to recover everything.
Still. Had a heart attack right there.
Hopefully the finished episode will be up tomorrow night. Possibly Monday. Possibly Tuesday. Hopefully tomorrow.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to force myself to start breathing again.
