Soggy, yet satisfying.
Aug. 5th, 2008 08:05 pmSo, huge thunderstorms in the Midwest last night. I should know, I'm currently sitting in the middle of about half the rainwater of Illinois.
That's right, Kevin-fans, last night our power went out, which means our sump-pump went out (since the battery was unhooked and we didn't know this), which meant that we retained water in the basement. How much, you ask? Well, the words "ankle" and "deep" might be boring and not very image-heavy at all, but put them together and awesome description occurs.
Power came back on after I went to work this morning, and the floor is still damp yet drying out. We sucked up all the water we could with the wet-vac we call R2-D2 (an older version of this clunker right here), and have the fans going full-tilt, but I'm still in the biggest Squishy Central since the WoW Clothie Convention of '07.
The Made of Fail Superhero Superspecial (episode 4, for those of you playing the home game) was recorded on Sunday. I had hoped to have it fully cleaned up and posted last night; obviously, this didn't happen. Working on it as we speak, actually, and will hope to have it up tonight. If not, then definitely tomorrow. Kinda taking priority over anything that's not wet-carpet-related.
