World of Warcraft news
May. 3rd, 2007 11:25 amI haven't been on Krajin much lately. There's a couple reasons for that, actually, but the main reason is that there's not much for me to do right now. The quests I have are mostly Elite quests, and I've been whittling away at the ones I can solo. I need to do a bunch of instances to be able to do the higher-end instances (and get myself keyed for Karazhan) with the rest of the guild, but I don't usually have enough time to sit around for a couple hours, trying to pull a group together, and then spend another few hours working through the dungeon.
I find myself hard-pressed to get a response from any guildies when I ask for help. Not just a refusal, I can't get anyone to even acknowledge I said anything. I feel bad asking the same few people that do help (Weston, Gendou, Jester, Merc, Maha-and-Kwata) to keep coming out to whatever end of Outlands that I'm in at the time to give me a hand. And those people (and randomly, a bunch of others) have helped me a great deal in the almost-year I've been playing, and I'm very grateful to them for it. Even so, though, I'm just getting frustrated. Not with Krajin himself, but because there's rarely anything for me to do.
So lately, I've been playing my Alliance Paladin, the one I transferred to Liane's server not too long ago. Caoimhe became Katheryn, applied to the Retribution of Arathor, and started to get involved in a bunch of roleplaying plots and storylines. And it's been so much fun that I've started neglecting Thunderhorn and quiXotic, instead wanting to spend more time with an extremely literate and intelligent roleplaying guild.
Just this week, I researched explodology with Antigone, traded friendly insults with Stehl, been hit on by Sethia, and got promoted in the guild. I've also run a bunch of instances and almost half-upgraded my three armor sets, and bought a fourth roleplaying set - shiny silver armor for ceremonies and such. I've even gotten back into the writing groove due to Katheryn, and just today finished the fourth and final part of an extended-backstory narrative.

So yeah, that's what I've been up to lately. I haven't abandoned quiXotic, and I still consider Krajin my main. It's just...lately, I haven't been having fun with him. Playing him right now is a chore, and I shouldn't pay fifteen dollars a month to do something that isn't fun for me. Playing Katheryn and roleplaying with her is fun, and hopefully will remain to be so.
I do hope that Krajin will become fun for me again. I love being a Hunter, and I love playing him. I just wish there's something for me to do. Maybe when I get on, I'll start using him for the benefit of low-level guildies and/or alts, and run people through instances more often.
