Roleplaying organization and otherwise

Last night, I was looking at a way to have our roleplaying references a lot easier than being posted to LiveJournal. It will allow for a simple method of updating character profiles, as well as the chronicling of adventures.

Please note that this will be of use for both my D&D game and my World of Warcraft roleplaying characters, and everything (and everyone) that is involved with either of the two. This also will allow those involved in both (read: Jillian, Icy, Linn, Will, Teri, Liane, Gendou, Rene) to use this.

I don't know if it will work. I'm hoping I read the instructions correctly. I downloaded everything last night and I will be uploading it to my server tonight, either before or during my D&D game. If all goes well, it will be completely set up by the time I go to bed tonight, and then I can start filling it in as early as tomorrow.

If it works, I will announce it as such.

On a completely unrelated side-note, I'll need to start looking into learning at least basic .php coding, or at the very least talk to someone who knows it.

Memorable moments from D&D since the beginning.

One of the earlier sessions for this game had my players, after successfully routing out an inept necromancer from the city sewers, raid some houses. The one house they were after was the chief of police for the one of the city's prominent districts (the leader of the party, a CG Fighter, is a recently former police officer under that same chief), who was revealed to be corrupt and working for some shadow corporation. The corrupt chief had confiscated evidence from the inept necromancer, and brought it to his house, which is why my party, in their infinite wisdom, decided to burglarize it.

I allowed it, though with strong recommendations against doing so, because I was, frankly, laughing my ass off the entire time. It probably didn't hurt that there were a couple Natural Ones rolled during the course of the burglary. I'll share with you some highlights of that session (accompanied by my favorite LJ icon, which is REALLY appropriate for this specific post).

• The second fighter decided to charge the front door of one of the houses, to break it down. Having rolled a 1, she didn't notice until it was too late that the door was ajar, and she barrelled straight through the OPEN door. She went on to roll a 3 on her Reflex check to keep from crashing into the wall beyond it.



• The cleric, upon finding two children home sick from school, attempted to use Diplomacy to keep them quiet. Unfortunately, she just made them cry harder.



• The sorcerer, upon finding the confiscated artifact in a glass case on the mantle, threw a vase at it to break it open. The vase proceeded to bounce off the glass case and strike the sorcerer on the head.

Do I count as a sadistic DM if I find pleasure when they bring things upon themselves, instead of the stereotypical sadistic DM that just throws obstacles upon obstacles on them?
