So I'm waiting.
May. 31st, 2006 01:12 pmSitting around after lunch, stuffing letters into envelopes. This time, though, I'm keyless.
This morning, I dropped the Allymobile off at the closest dealership to my house, to get it serviced. My air conditioning is busted (as Dayna can attest to), and has been for about two weeks.
Having gone through two weekends in the 80-90s without working AC, I'm fearing how the rest of summer will go. Hence the service call.
They haven't called me back yet. I'm starting to worry; the lady said she'd call when she found out what the problem was. Work ends in three hours, and I'd like to be able to get home tonight, as well.
I'll probably call in an hour and check up on it.
Last night was pretty damn awesome. After work I drove down to Naperville and picked Dayna up. We went to the city, getting some ice cream and finding our seats at the comedy club we went to.
We were some of the only ones there. There were eight of us in seats near the stage, and a couple drunk guys at the bar.
Regardless, it was an awesome show.
Driving back, I discovered arather large spider mutant ant crawling around the inside of the windshield. After opening the window a bit and wishing it would leave the few times it got close, I made what I thought was a reasonable request. Seeing as I was driving about 65-ish on a highway in the city, I didn't want to take my hands off the wheel. So I asked Dayna if she wouldn't mind taking care of it, preferably by flicking it out the window.
This was a big mistake. Once again, Dayna, I'm sorry. I didn't know.
Aside from that, the evening was a total blast. Snarkiness and pop-culture references abounds, plus some really good raspberry ice cream. And I finally got to go to a comedy club.
Up next, Second City.
